Recently, Tesla China announced on its official website that the prices of the Model 3 and Model Y models on sale in China will be adjusted, with the starting price of the Model 3 dropping by 36,000 yuan and the starting price of the Model Y dropping by 29,000 yuan, while the price reductions of the remaining versions of the two models range from 20,000 to 48,000 yuan, setting a new record low in Tesla's China price history.

Tao Lin, Tesla's vice president of external affairs, said that the price adjustment of Tesla covers numerous engineering innovations, starting from the "first principle" and insisting on cost-based pricing. In response to the call of the state, Tesla is taking practical action to promote economic development and release consumer potential.

Tesla's annual production and sales figures show that in 2022, Tesla produced 1,369,600 units, up 47% year-on-year, and delivered 1,131,900 units, up 40% year-on-year. Although production surpassed the million mark, deliveries are still short of Tesla CEO Elon Musk's goal of a 50 percent increase set at the beginning of 2022.
